District Third Grade Students Celebrate Ecology Day
On March 22, 2013, school buses arrived at the NFCC with loads of 3rd grade students eager to participate in Ecology Day activities. Students rotated from station to station to experience the excitement of learning about how living things depend on each other and on the environment. Enjoying the great outdoors students sharpened their science skills by handling giant Madagascar cockroaches, racing mealworms, testing water samples from ponds, studying beehives, learning about the endangered plant species, looking at giant beetles and admiring the many different butterflies species. All in all students had an interesting day of fun and learning outside the classroom.
This is a very creative teacher named Stacey Rivers. She dressed up as a BEE for her students’ positive behavior day.
